Name: Denagard 10% powder (antibacterial veterinary drug for systemic use)
Ingredients: 1 g of the product contains the active substance: Tiamulin hydrogen fumarate – 100 mg. gelatin, cornstarch.
Pharmaceutical form: Water soluble powder for oral administration
Pharmacological properties: Tiamulin is a semi-synthetic antibiotic that belongs to the group of Pleuromutilin The antibiotic has a bacteriostatic effect, inhibiting the synthesis of protein in sensitive microorganisms. The product is active against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms (Brachyspira innocens, Brachyspira pilosicoli, Leptospira spp., Clostridium perfringens, Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Listeria monocytogenes, Pasteurella multocida, Actinomyces pyogenes, Actinobacillus spp., Fusobacterium spp., Klebsiella pneumoniae, Haemophilus spp., Bacteroides spp., Campylobacter coli, Lawsonia intracellular is), as well as chlamydia and mycoplasmas (Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, Mycoplasma hyosynoviae, M. hyorhinis, M. bovis, and others).

Indications for use: Treatment of animals suffering from dysentery, as well as with diseases of the respiratory system (a complex of respiratory diseases (CRD), pleuropneumonia) caused by microorganisms sensitive to tiamulina.
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to tiamulin. Do not use products containing monensin, narazin or salinomycin in pigs for at least 7 days prior to, during and after treatment with tiamulin. This can lead to a deterioration in health or even death.
Side effects: In some cases, after application of tiamulin in pigs, the erythema or slight swelling may appear on the skin.
Special precautions for application: None.
Use during pregnancy, lactation, laying periods: Tiamulin can be used during pregnancy and lactation.
Interaction with other products or other forms of interaction: The product is prohibited to be used simultaneously with salinomycin, monensin, narasin. The label on the packaging of the feed additive must contain information on the inability to use tiamulin with the feed containing the above products.
Dosage forms and routes of administration for animals of different age Oral administration with food at a dose of 6-8 mg tiamulin per kg of body weight for 5 days, and additionally for 2 days after disappearance of symptoms. The optimal dose is 1 – 1.5 kg of Denagard® 10% powder per 1 ton of feed.
Withdrawal period: Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed 4 days after last administration of the product. Meat obtained before that period is utilized or fed to unproductive animals, depending on the conclusion of the veterinarian.
Special warnings for staff: Avoid contact with mucous membranes or skin to prevent irritation during mixing. In case of contact with skin or mucous membranes, rinse with water. If the product penetrates the body, immediately seek medical assistance. Persons with hypersensitivity to tiamulin should use a drug with particular caution.

Shelf life in granulated feed: 8 weeks
Special precautions during storage: Keep in a dry, dark place inaccessible for children at temperatures of 15 °C up to 25 °C.
