Fertagyl
Name: Fertagyl clear, colorless solution for injection
Ingredients: 1 ml of the product contains the active substance: gonadorelin – 0.1 mg.
Excipients: benzyl alcohol; sodium chloride; water for injections.
Pharmacological properties: Gonadorelin is a synthetic analogue of natural gonadotrophin-releasing hormone produced by the hypothalamus. The action on adenohypophysis causes the secretion of luteinizing (LH) and follicle-stimulating (FSH) hormones, which causes maturation of follicles and ovulation.
Applications:
Cattle:
- ovarian cyst;
- prevention of ovulation delay;
- prevention of postpartum ovarian parasitism;
- Improved fertilization;
rabbits: - ovulation stimulation
Doses and methods of administration: for animals of all ages intramuscularly once at a dose of: Cattle: ovarian cysts – 5.0 ml; prevention of ovulation delay in the day of artificial insemination – 1.0 -2.0 ml; prophylaxis of postpartum pathology of ovaries in the first forty days after calving – 2.5 ml;
rabbits: to stimulate ovulation, two days after kidling, 0.2 ml of the product is administered. Female rabbits are fertilized immediately after the introduction of the product.
Contraindications: not identified.
Warnings: None.
Pharmaceutical form: 5 ml glass glass vials with rubber stoppers and flip off aluminum caps.
Storage: store in a dark place at a temperature between 2 °C and 8 °C. Do not freeze the product.
Shelf life: 36 months.
