Name: Сobactan 2.5%, oily suspension of white color (suspension for injection)
Ingredients: 1 ml of the product contains the active substance: Cefquinome sulfate – 29.64 mg (equivalent to 25 mg of cefquinome). Excipients: ethyl oleate
Pharmacological properties: Cefquinome sulfate is an antibiotic that belongs to the group of cephalosporins of IV generation. It inhibits the synthesis of the microbial cell wall. Bactericidal against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms (E. coli, Citrobacter spp., Klebsiella spp., Proteus spp., Salmonella spp., Bacillus spp., Corynebacterium spp., Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Bacteroides spp., | Clostridium spp., Fusobacterium spp., Prevotella spp., Actinobacillus spp., Pasteurella multocida, Mannheimia haemolytica, Serratia marcescens, Haemophilus somnus, Arcanobacterium pyogenes, and Erysipelotrix rhusiopathiae).
Application: Cattle: treatment of animals suffering from pannaritis, sole ulcer, purulent pododermatitis, necrobacillosis between fingers of the hoof, mastitis, septicemia, and also from respiratory diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to cefquin.
Pigs: treatment of animals with MMA syndrome (mastitis-metritis-agalactium), arthritis, meningitis, and epidermis, as well as in respiratory diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to cefquin.
Dosage: intramuscularly at a does of dose: cattle – 1 mg of cefquin per kg of body weight of the animal or 2 mlin case of mastitis the course of treatment is 2 days); calves – 2 mg of cefquin per kg body weight of the animal or 4 ml of the product for 50 kg of body weight every day for 3-5 days;
Contraindications: increased sensitivity to cephalosporins and B-lactam antibiotics.
Warnings: Before use, thoroughly shake the vial with the product. Use sterile tools for injection. The vial cap can be pierced 25 times safely.
Withdrawal period: Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed respectively 5 (cattle) and 3 (pigs) days after last administration of the product. Milk consumption in food is allowed 1 day after last administration of the product. Meat and milk obtained before that period is utilized or fed to unproductive animals, depending on the conclusion of the veterinarian.
Pharmaceutical form: 50 and 100 ml glass vials with rubber stoppers and flip off aluminum caps, with plastic seal.
Storage: Keep in a dry, dark place inaccessible for children at temperatures of 2 °C up to 25 °C. Do not freeze the product.
Shelf life: 24 months.
