Name:  Multibio (suspension for injection), a white suspension

Ingredients: 1 ml of the product contains the active substances:

Ampicillin – 100.0 мг;

Colistin (in the form of sulfate) – 0,250 MO;

Dexamethasone – 0.226 мг.

Excipients: benzyl alcohol, butylhydroxyanisole, castor oil, propylene glycol.

Pharmacological properties: Ampicillin is an antibiotic belonging to a group of semi-synthetic penicillins. It has a broad spectrum of antimicrobial action, mainly against gram-positive microorganisms, but it also acts against Enterobacteriaceae (Coliforms spp., Salmonella spp.) and gram-negative microorganisms that cause respiratory infections (Pasteurelia spp., Haemophilus spp., Actinobacillus spp.).

Colistin is an antibiotic that belongs to the group of polymyxins. It has antimicrobial action against gram-negative bacteria (Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Acinetobacter spp., E.coli, Salmonella spp., Yersinia enterocolitica, Proteus spp., Citrobacter spp., Enterobacter spp., Klebsiella spp., Yersinia spp., Pasteurella spp, Haemophilus spp.).

Dexamethasone has a pronounced anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic action through inhibition of releasing eosinophils of inflammation mediators.

Application:  Treatment of cattle and pigs suffering from mastitis, metritis, agalactia syndrome in sows, as well as respiratory diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to ampicillin and colistin.

Dosage:  Intramuscularly at a dose of 1 ml of the drug per 10 kg of body weight once a day for 3-5 days. Before use, thoroughly shake the vial.

Contraindications:  Hypersensitivity to colistin and ampicillin.

Withdrawal period: Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed respectively in 35 (pigs) and 42 (cattle) days after last administration of the product. Milk consumption in food is allowed 4 days after last administration of the product.

Pharmaceutical form: 100 and 250 ml glass vials with rubber stoppers and flip off aluminum caps

Keep in a dry, dark place inaccessible for children at temperatures of 10 °C up to 25 °C.

Shelf life: 2 years, when opened: 28 days if stored in a dry, dark place
