Rilexine 500

Name: Rilexine 500 DC (suspension for intracisternal administration)

Description: yellowish-white suspension.

Ingredients: 1 tube syringe (8 g) contains the active substance: cefalexin (in the form of benzathine) – 375 mg.

Excipients: chlorobutano, aluminum stearate, paraffin.

Pharmacological properties: Cefalexin is an antibiotic that belongs to the group of cephalosporins. Its antimicrobial activity, like penicillin, consists in the ability to suppress the synthesis of the cell wall of bacteria. Bactericide acts against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Corynebacterium spp., Pasteurella spp., E. coli, Klebsiella spp., Proteus spp., Salmonella spp., Serratia marcescens, Haemophilus somnus, Clostridium spp. Fusobacterium spp., Prevotella spp., Actinobacillus spp., Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae).

Application:  Treatment and prevention of mastitis in cows during dry periods.

Dosage: After milking, the contents of one tube syringe are administered intraconsistently into the affected breast fraction, which is pre-treated and disinfected. After administration of the drug, a quarter of the mammary gland is massaged for uniform distribution throughout the cistern.

Warnings: treatment must be carried out 2 months before the intended calving.

Milk consumption is allowed 4-5 days after the calving. Milk consumption in food is allowed 28 days after last administration of the product. By this time, milk and meat are fed to unproductive animals or disposed of (depending on the opinion of the veterinarian).

Pharmaceutical form: Polyethylene 8 grams tube syringe. Secondary packaging: cardboard boxes containing 4, 12 or 60 tube syringes and disposable wipes.

Shelf life: 24 months. Store in a dark place at a temperature between 10 °C and 25 °C.
