Pharmaceutical form: Powder for oral administration.

Pharmacological properties: Tiamulin is a semi-synthetic antibiotic that belongs to the group of Pleuromutilin The antibiotic has a bacteriostatic effect, inhibiting the synthesis of protein in sensitive microorganisms. The product is active against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms (Brachyspira innocens, Brachyspira pilosicoli, Leptospira spp., Clostridium perfringens, Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Listeria monocytogenes, Pasteurella multocida, Actinomyces pyogenes, Actinobacillus spp., Fusobacterium spp., Klebsiella pneumoniae, Haemophilus spp., Bacteroides spp., Campylobacter coli, Lawsonia intracellular is), as well as chlamydia and mycoplasmas (Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, Mycoplasma hyosynoviae, M. hyorhinis, M. bovis, and others).

Indications for use: Treatment of pigs suffering dysentery, colitis, ileitis, enzootic pneumonia caused by microorganisms (Brachyspira hyodysenteriae, Brachyspira pilosicoli, Lawsonia intracellularis, Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae), susceptible to tiamulin.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to tiamulin. Do not use products containing monensin, narazin or salinomycin in pigs for at least 7 days prior to, during and after treatment with tiamulin. This can lead to a deterioration in health or even death.

Special precautions for application: In the case of reduced feed intake, in order to achieve the therapeutic dose of the product, it is advisable to increase the levels of introduction into feed. In acute cases and in the event of serious animal disease, accompanied by reduction in feed intake, the product should be used in a suitable dosage form, such as injection or oral solution.

Use during pregnancy, lactation, laying periods: Tiamulin can be used during pregnancy and lactation.

Interaction with other products or other forms of interaction: The product is prohibited to be used simultaneously with salinomycin, monensin, narasin. The label on the packaging of the feed additive must contain information on the inability to use tiamulin with the feed containing the above products.

Dosage forms and routes of administration for animals of different age Administered orally with feed.
