Pharmacological properties: antibacterial veterinary drug for systemic use. Amoxicillin is a semisynthetic derivative of penicillins. It belongs to B-lactam penicillins of a wide spectrum of action. The antimicrobial spectrum of action includes: Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Actynomyces spp., Clostridium spp., Fusiformis spp., E. coli, Klebsiella spp., Shigella spp., Salmonella spp., Proteus spp., Brucella spp., Pasteurella spp. Clavulanic acid has only a weak antibacterial effect. It is a potent inhibitor of a wide range of B-lactamases that produce gram-negative microorganisms, including chromosomal-mediated B-lactamases producing K. pneumoniae, Proteus spp. and Bacteroides spp. B-lactamases produced by Staphylococcus spp. are sensitive to clavulanic acid.

Groups of animals: Poultry (chickens, broilers, rearing stock, laying hens), pigs.

Indications for use: Treatment of pigs and poultry with diseases of the digestive canal, respiratory system, skin and soft tissues caused by microorganisms sensitive to amoxicillin and clavulanic acid.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to penicillins. Do not apply to horses, rabbits, chinchillas and guinea pigs. Do not apply to animals with severe kidney function disorders.

Side effects: For four years, no side effects have been observed.

Special precautions for application: The product should not be used for rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters or other small herbivores.

Use during pregnancy, lactation, laying periods: Do not apply. Interaction with other means and other forms of interaction: Penicillins (common). Probenecid, Oxifenbutasone slow down renal penicillin withdrawal. Neomycin, when orally administered, causes delays in intestinal absorption of penicillin. Chloramphenicol may inhibit the bactericidal action of penicillin.

Dosage forms and routes of administration for animals of different age Oral administration with drinking water. Poultry (chickens, broilers, rearing stock, laying hens): at a dose of 4 g of the product per 100 kg of body weight daily. The duration of treatment is 5-7 days. The amount of Amoksiklav® for the daily dose should be calculated by the total weight of a bird being treated. Prepare a fresh solution immediately before use. Do not give non-medicated water together with medicated water.

Special precautions: This medicinal product is for use only in pigs and poultry.

Withdrawal period: Slaughter of animals and poultry for meat is allowed respectively in 2 (bird) and 3 (pig) days after last administration of the product. Meat obtained before that period is utilized or fed to unproductive animals, depending on the conclusion of the veterinarian. There is no withdrawal period for eggs.

Pharmaceutical features: penicillins (in general) incompatible with chloroplasmic, dextrose, sodium chloride, erythromycin, gentamicin, kanamycine, hydrocortisone, lincomycin, tetracycline, streptomycin, polymyxin.

Shelf life: 3 years

Special precautions during storage: Keep in a dry, dark place at temperatures from 5 to 25 ° C. Keep out of the reach of children. The container should be closed tight after use.
